Vinexpo Explorer Boosts Mendoza’s Global Wine Position

Vinexpo Explorer Mendoza 2026 – The Bulk Wine Chapter concluded successfully after three intensive days that brought together 50 Argentine wineries and 25 international buyers from key markets including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Germany.

The event reinforced Mendoza’s position as a leading wine-producing region and an attractive destination for investment and international business. Designed specifically to foster direct commercial connections, the program generated approximately 300 business meetings focused on expanding bulk wine exports and creating new opportunities for the industry.

Patricia Giménez, General Manager of ProMendoza, highlighted the importance of the partnership behind the initiative.

“The strategic alliance between ProMendoza and Vinexposium has been essential in organizing major events in both 2025 and 2026. It allows international buyers to visit Mendoza and gain first-hand knowledge of the province, its wineries, and its products. This approach goes far beyond participating in a traditional trade fair, ensuring higher-quality buyers, greater visibility, and increased sales opportunities for local wineries through collaboration between the public and private sectors,” she said.

Vinexpo Explorer was organized by Vinexposium, ProMendoza, and the Government of Mendoza, with the support of the Argentine Bulk Wine Chamber. The collaboration successfully attracted highly qualified international buyers alongside export-oriented wineries from across Argentina.

Javier Rojas, Head of the Wine Sector at ProMendoza, described the event as a milestone for the province.

“Having a format specifically designed to create direct business connections and strengthen bulk wine exports is historic for Mendoza. This edition confirmed the sector’s potential as a key driver of growth for Argentina’s wine industry,” he stated.

One of the most innovative aspects of this year’s edition was the implementation of an intelligent matchmaking system developed for ProMendoza. The platform optimized business meetings by analyzing profiles and compatibility between buyers and suppliers.

Sebastián Rodríguez, a Mechatronics Engineer responsible for the system, explained that it works similarly to a business-focused matchmaking platform.

“The automated system analyzes what buyers are looking for and what wineries offer, assigning a score to each potential match based on its commercial potential. This allowed us to prioritize the most strategic meetings and organize agendas using objective data, increasing the likelihood of generating business opportunities,” he said.

Representatives from participating wineries also emphasized the quality of the buyers and the opportunities generated during the event.

Ana María Delmar, from Finca Buenaventura, noted that international importers were highly impressed by the wines presented.

“Expectations were already high, but buyers discovered excellent products. It was an incredible opportunity to showcase both bulk wine and private-label options while creating valuable new commercial relationships,” she said.

Juan José Reza, Export Manager at Clop Wine, highlighted the effectiveness of the preparation process.

“We arrived with strong expectations, and thanks to ProMendoza’s prior work, we were able to identify relevant importers before the event. The meetings were productive and meaningful, especially with buyers from the UK and the United States. These platforms are essential for positioning Mendoza as a benchmark for quality wines, particularly in the bulk wine segment,” he explained.

Eduardo Nogal, Operations Director at Sposato Family Vineyards, described the event as a valuable experience.

“Although we have worked in the bulk wine segment before, this was our first experience participating in a business roundtable format of this scale. It is an excellent tool for building contacts and opening new business opportunities,” he said.

With the successful completion of Vinexpo Explorer Mendoza 2026, the province further consolidates its role as a strategic player in the global bulk wine market, strengthening the competitiveness of the sector and creating new export opportunities for Argentina’s wine industry.
